Description
SMC CONNECTORS
The SMC coaxial RF connectors were developed in the 1960s. This series of RF connectors has an interface that features threaded coupling with 10-32 threads for various applications. The SMC RF connectors offer broadband performance with low reflection DC to 10 GHz. Available in 50-ohm configurations. The screw-on locking mechanism of SMC connectors provides a reliable connection and is primarily used in telecommunications and instrumentation applications. The interface of SMC plug male connectors works like a socket for the center contact. SMC jack female connectors also have a pin for the center contact and an external thread.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Conforms to the interface dimensions of MIL-STD-348
- Threaded coupling ideal for applications where vibration resistance is important
- Ideal for semi-rigid cables or miniature flexible cables
APPLICATIONS
- Antennas
- Instrumentation
- Telecommunications
