The MMCX (Micro-Miniature Coaxial) connectors have a lock-snap mechanism which allows 360-degree rotation. It is a 50-ohm impedance interface with broadband capability of DC to 6 GHz and secure, fast, and easy snap-on / snap-off coupling. The feature of the MMCX connectors is that it’s a micro-miniature version of the MCX with smaller sizes and lightweight. MMCX connectors are designed for densely populated electronic packages and can be found on Wi-Fi PCMCIA cards or GPS as antenna connectors. On small devices like PDAs, GPS receivers, mobile phones, and GSM-Antennas, MMCX connectors also commonly used. In addition, they are also used by various brands of in-ear monitors to connect the cable to the individual earpieces. This allows for the cables to be replaced or swapped.
