QMA CONNECTORS
Jaw-Dropper QMA connectors are available with 50-ohm impedance and the frequency range extends up to 18 GHz. The QMA connector shares the same internal construction and performance as the SMA series. Yet, the SMA connectors offer an easier, faster, and safer operation because of the innovative coupling mechanism, helping customers save significant time during production. The main difference lies in the interface: QMA connectors feature a 360º rotating snap-on locking characteristic instead of a threaded coupling, which enables it quick to install with low RF leakage and is tool-less. QMA connectors are commonly used in cellular base station hardware, SCADA radios, and a range of wireless test equipment, where durability, strength, and quick-disconnection features are required. SMA connectors can be rotated 360 degrees after they are mated, which improves the flexibility of installations.
